The law of attraction is an amazing. Universal law. And amazing philosophy. That can really enhance the quality of our lives. But so many of us are wielding this superpower wrong. On today's episode, we are going to dive into what the law of attraction is and is not in how you can use the law of attraction. To create the inner and outer world. That you've always dreamed of. So let's dive in. Welcome back to the out of your mind podcast. My name is Pam God voice, and I am your host here. And normally I would hop on and say, I have this amazing guest, and they're gonna tell you their story. And they're gonna tell you all the ways in which they're impacting the world and give you some tips and strategies that you can use to impact your own life. And all of this is amazing. And today I'm doing a solo episode now. I have been asked to do more solo episodes. So I will be diving into lots of content in the coming months, but today I wanna talk. The law of attraction. Now, if I said the law of attraction and that got you really excited, like you're like, yes, the law of attraction, I live my life by this. This is amazing. This is exactly what I need. Exactly what I want. Then I would consider you the chorus, right? Like I'm preaching to the chorus. You get it. You're gonna be going. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. That's what I need in my life. I'm doing that. I'm practicing that. All the things you might be at the other end of the spectrum, like the law of attraction is BS or it's even bla. And goes against all of my religious beliefs or the teachings or understandings that I know to be true. and if that is you, that's great. I am going to respectfully ask you to just turn off the podcast because I'm not here to irritate you. I'm not here to upset you. I'm not here to, you know, upturn your apple cart as they say, but if you fall somewhere in the middle, And you're like, I'm curious, I am open to learning something. That's maybe a little bit of a different perspective than my own experience. Then I invite you to stick around because this is gonna be a fun one, not real long, but fun. So you may be thinking law of attraction. I'm all in. You may be thinking I've tried that that shit don't work for me. Right. Or you might have a belief that the law of attraction only works if you believe in it. But that's like saying gravity only works. If you believe in it. Right. And we all know that that's not true because the last time I checked with the exception of like Superman and maybe a couple other superheroes that have this ability, most of us cannot fly. Meaning even when we don't think about gravity, it has us tied to the earth. So how does that apply to the law of attraction? Well, the law of attraction states that like attracts like. You don't have to believe in the law of attraction to attract the vibrational energy that already exists within you. It's what you've been doing all along. You have been manifesting and creating in your life. What already exists within you. You're creating more of it. That's what like attract likes means. So. Then what? So then the question becomes, are you currently living a life that you absolutely adore? Do you feel like you have all of the love, connection, joy, and abundance that you could ever possibly dream of and you're all full up and you don't need anymore. Or are you living in a state or you're worrying about money? You're concerned about paying the bills, you're yelling at your kids and then feeling bad about it, giving yourself a hard time about it, or you're not getting enough sleep or you're not feeling heard or felt or seen. Are you experiencing anxiety or depression? Right. Are you in a place where things are just not. Not terrible. I mean, maybe they're terrible, but I'm not saying they have to be terrible. Maybe just not so great and they could be better, but you're not sure how to get there. Well, the law of attraction is a great understanding, a great philosophy to start shifting the inner world so that you can attract all that you actually desire because whether you realize it or not, you are attracting again. It's like gravity. You don't have to believe that sitting under an apple tree, when an apple is loose, that it will fall on you in order for it to fall on you. It just does, right. It's a law that exists. So, and I'm gonna debate over the existence. I have, I, I often come across people that love to debate whether a law of attraction is a real thing or not. It just is, it exist! Believe it don't believe it. It doesn't matter. It's still, you are wielding it currently. It's a power that you're wielding. So the question becomes, would you rather attract more financial abundance, more love, more joy, more connection, more positive feelings, or would you rather attract more debt, more rejection, more fear, more hatred and disconnection. Because anything that you put out into the universe will come back to you 10. Crap. Right. So if you're currently thinking, man, all of the things that are showing up in my life are things that I am afraid of overwhelmed by stressed by that's the law of attraction at work and and you know, I've had people say to me in the past, so what you're saying is that I've created this world that I live in. The answer to that is yes and no. And I think we have to give credit to the understanding that when we exist in the subconscious space, and you're not aware that when you worry about, uh, being able to pay the mortgage, that what is most likely to happen is debts are going to show up or bills are going to show up that are going to get in the way of your ability to pay mortgage or rent or whatever. Versus when you have a belief and understanding of vibrational frequency that says money flows in and is always there when I need it. That's what you'll get more of. Now. Money's a funny one because. A lot of people wanna use the law of attraction and manifestation to manifest more money. It's not just about where you place your attention. It's also how you place your attention. So it's not just what you're doing, it's how you're doing it. So to use the money example, because this is such a sticky one for so many of us, because there are so many stories, beliefs, and, um, experiences with money in our lives. And a lot of those are subconscious. A lot of those are patternings that were created from our parents and their parents' relationship to. And so if you had parents or grandparents that lived through great depression, their money story is going to be very different than your money story. Right? If you had parents or grandparents or even yourself who lived in like the gas shortage of the seventies. Right. And I remember hearing the stories I was. Not alive, certainly not driving at that point, but lines miles long to get gasoline because of the gas shortage. Then our current situation with petrol would be very stressful for you. And you might not know why you might be like, why am I so worried about whether there's gonna be gas at the gas station? When I go, why do I only let my tank get to half a tank? And I have to go fill it up right away? Or I can't function. I can't sleep. I can't relax. Maybe that's why. Right? So our stories, our beliefs, our experiences, they come from what we've been through, what has shaped us. Those are the things that have created who we are and have created our beliefs and our beliefs are just, and I say this with the most love ever, our beliefs are just the thoughts that have won out and that we have thought over and over and over again. And for most of us, those are negative. And that's where our beliefs come from. And that's those beliefs then turn into truths and we say, this is the truth. And really there are truths. And I could talk about that forever, but I'm not going to what I want you to recognize and what I want you to embrace and what I want you to hold, uh, as a, something to be curious about is that. As human beings as a mechanism for survival, we are wired to see the negative. So I don't want you sitting and listening to this and being like, oh, life attracts, like I'm in debt. I'm overwhelmed. I can't handle, you know, my, my job, my kids, my spouse, my FA extended family, all the things they all freak me out. I have depression. I have. Anxiety. I have all these things and it's all my fault. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, as beings, we are wired from a survival perspective to search out the risk, the danger, the risk of death, right? The SA saber tooth tiger. That's going to eat us. We're wired to find that. And our brain is wired. Our amygdala is like a smoke detector, right. And the amygdala will just fire and we'll be like danger, danger, danger. And you're like, uh, is there danger? And then you have to scan your environment and see if there's danger. But usually what that means is that you've been kicked into the fight or flight response. Right? So like, Sometimes you get a little tinkling of, of danger and you're like, maybe I should be a little bit more hypervigilant, right? That might be, you might, maybe you're a woman, or a female identifying human. And you're walking down a dark street by yourself. And a group of guys walks by. And maybe you are, a member of a marginalized community and same kind of thing, a member of a, a, of a different gender, of a different race of a different, ethnicity that, that maybe you have a belief or a story or something that, that you're at risk because you're solo with this group of individuals. And, um, that's. Normal. That's a protective mechanism that has kept us alive as human beings. And so that means the work. If you wanna have a joyful, connected, loving, peaceful life, then you have to make a conscious choice to change your vibrational energy. I E. Your emotions, your thoughts, so that you attract more of that. And it is a conscious choice and it's a decision you have to make every day. So stress arises. You're immediately gonna go to that place to mitigate stress, to mitigate, um, danger. Again, normal, cut yourself some slack. If you're like, oh, I always go to the worst case scenario. Of course you do. Of course you do. And one, because of that's how we're wired two, because it's probably served you, right? You go to worst case scenario, you keep yourself safe. You don't get mugged, you don't get kidnapped or whatever. If you're somebody, I hear this a lot. I'm like one of those people that's like suspicious of everyone. Well, yeah, it's a protected mechanism. Right. So if the phone rings and it's a number, I don't know. And it's, telling me that somebody ordered seven, iPhones on Amazon and I need to call them back and give them my credit card information so they can cancel it. I'm like, Hmm. I'm skeptical of you. I don't believe you that's right. In today's day and age, that's a protective mechanism. There's nothing to be ashamed of or feel guilty about. And sometimes we're wrong. Like sometimes we, a lot of times we err on the side of negative, we err on the side of protection. When when we don't need. Have there ever been times in your life where you're like, I wanna trust this person. I wanna trust these people, but I just really have a hard time. I have a hard time being open that what they're saying is true and authentic and valid, and that they actually care because I've been burned so many times in the past. I mean, that's a, that's a real thing, right? That's a real experience. So, how do we use the law of attraction to help you to shift? That's what this episode's all about. Can you use the law of attraction to shift? So if you know that like attracts like, like vibrational energy attracts like vibrational energy. And when I say vibrational energy, I mean, your thoughts. Your feelings, your beliefs. Right. And I already said your beliefs are shaped by your thoughts that you've thought over and over and over again. And so. I, I hear this often. One of the things that gets used a lot in the law of attraction is, is, um, affirmations or mantras. And so you repeat a statement. I embrace all, abundance coming my way. My bank account is overflowing. My soulmate is around the corner. Right? Whatever the things are that you wanna attract into your life. And then I'll hear people say, like I tried it and it didn't work. And I'm still having negative thoughts. I'm still in that place of fear. I'm still existing in the space of like, is the Saber tooth tiger outside my cave. And are they going to eat me? I just want you to hear me say this and I'm gonna say it again. And again, of course, you're still there because how many times and through how many generations, right? If you're still fearing the saber tooth tiger, that's going to eat you. How many generations ago is that for most of us, we're not thousands of years old. And so that means that was multiple upon multiple, upon multiple generations ago. And you're still carrying it. It's still in your wiring when you talk about evolution and how, um, we evolve out of things. This is not something we're evolving. But for most of us, and this is not true across the board, but for most of us, we don't live in an environment where we have threats to our physical, emotional, and spiritual health and safety on a daily basis. I mean like threat of death, threat of, religious persecution threat of like environments where there's actual, real long term, danger, that's going to create in us, these ruts, in yoga, we call them some scars. They're like ruts. So you think about it. And I live in new England and so, and I live in like rural new England and. One of the things that always happens here in the springtime. When we get a lot of rain, it doesn't seem to happen this year. We didn't get much rain, but is all the dirt roads get like these big ruts from the big trucks driving through and people on their, just in their regular cars and the end of winter, it's the ground softens. And then it freezes again, it softens and it freezes again. And we drive along and we get these big ruts and then you get stuck in the ruts. And I remember a story a few years ago about a school bus getting stuck in like. I don't know, like a, a 24 inch, like a two foot rut. They were just, they couldn't get out. They had to call a big tow truck and get, pull out the truck and pull out the school bus. That's what I mean. And the more, if you think about the more like grooved and entrenched the, um, The ruts become the deeper they become the harder it is to climb out of them. And if you're living and experiencing in your subconscious mind. And so you're not challenging your thoughts, you're not challenging your emotions. You're not challenging your experiences. Then you're just gonna continue down the same path that you've always been on. And if that path isn't serving you, like I said, if you're like the law of attraction, it's amazing. I've done all this work and leg attracts, like, and I attract all the abundance and that's amazing. Yay. Um, I applaud you. But if you're not there, then it takes conscious choice and you have to decide, you have to say to yourself, how do I want to feel? And then you highlight that feeling. You highlight that experience. What do I want my experience to be? Like, feelings are always the easiest for us, as human beings, because it's the way we're wired and we kind of know, right? Like how do I wanna feel. I wanna feel good. I wanna feel, and then you can dig in deeper. What does that mean now? If you're someone who says I don't wanna feel, I don't wanna be in pain, I don't wanna, um, live in fear. I don't wanna feel disconnected. I don't wanna. Struggle to pay my bills. I don't wanna worry about my kids. I don't wanna, you know, I don't know what I do want, but I know what I don't want. Then I'm going to challenge you to figure out what that means. Right. If I don't wanna live in fear, what, where do I wanna live? I wanna live in joy and connection and abundance. Okay. So what I want in my life is more joy, connection and abundance. Okay. How do I do that? How do I draw that in? Because when you say, I don't want, first of all, the universe. Um, does not understand don't so when you say I wanna be debt free, the universe doesn't understand free. It just hears debt. So financial, abundance, freedom. Those are great words to use, right? They're the positive side of the coin. So if you think about all of your communications, all of your language and all of your experiences as a coin and on one side, there's the thing you don't want. I don't wanna feel sad. And on the other side, there's the thing that you do want, I want to feel joy when you look at the coin and you can imagine what the coin looks like. It's totally up to you. This is I tend to always think of like two faces coin from Batman. I don't know why, but when you look at the coin and you decide, this is the way, this is the side that I wanna identify with. This is what I want more of ask yourself. The question is what I'm saying, the thing that I want more of, and if it's not reframe your language and then just start speaking out loud, what you want, start writing it down. What do you want, how do you wanna feel? What do you wanna experience? And notice when resistance arises because the law of attraction states that life attracts like, and what you put out into the world, you will get back tenfold. So if you want love, give love. If you want compassion, give compassion. If you want kindness, give kindness if you wanna be accepted, right? Give acceptance. If you wanna have a million dollars into your, in your bank. Then donate money to a charity or the next time you're at your local grocery store. And they've got like a, veterans program out there connecting money or connecting, uh, collect, sorry, collecting, not connecting, collecting money for, um, for a teen suicide prevention or whatever, whatever the thing is, like drop a couple bucks in, keep a couple dollars in your wallet so that you can donate so that you can share the abundance. And instead of being like, instead of coming from the place of, I don't have. The$2 to put in there, start to embrace the idea that more money will flow in that if I put$2 in and the law of attraction says, this will return to me tenfold, right? Two times 10 is 20. So if you put$2 in, you're gonna get$20 back. If you put, um,$10 in, right. 10 times 10 is a hundred. You put$10 and you're gonna get a hundred dollars back. And this is what happens. So embracing the idea that whatever you put out to the world comes back to you. And for most of us, I will say money is charged because we have money stories and there's so much work to slog through in the money. But if you could start getting curious, right? If you could start saying like, huh, what is the lesson I'm supposed to learn here? What's the opportunity. How can I be grateful for this experience? So like last year I went into a full heart block. So those that are not medical providers and understand what that means a full heart block is a, electrical impulse issue, right? And so a full heart block means there's no electric, electrical signal that goes from the top of the heart to the bottom of heart on my body anymore, or for right now, cuz I'm gonna heal that. So I have a pacemaker because without a pacemaker, I wouldn't be here. Fine that worked, it's doing its job. It's keeping me alive. It's doing all the things he needs to be doing. And I came across a lot of people after I got a peacemaker that were like, oh, and I'm and people that are, that have pacemakers. Somebody had said to me, maybe you should join like a Facebook group or something of like, so you kind of understand what to expect and. Maybe they'll have some advice and you know, I'm a coach, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a life and business coach. Um, and so I'm all about. Tapping into the community that has these resources and has an understanding of these things and, and we can support each other. And I literally signed into that group. I founded groups, you know, became a requested membership, got into the group. And I sat and I read through like, I don't know, I don't know how many posts, but like I read through a handful of posts and read the comments and it was all like, they didn't tell me all these things about getting a pacemaker. It's the worst decision I ever made. I should have just died. And I was like, BR bye. Bye. There is nothing in me that says, you know, what I really want in this scenario is to lower. My vibrational frequency is to lower my vibrational energy. I wanna raise my vibrational energy. And so the way that I did that, um, is when I was on the operating table and they were cutting into graphic alert, they were cutting into my jugular and putting in a temporary pacemaker. I thought. Huh. I wonder what I'm supposed to learn here. I know there's a lesson. So first I just wanna expect express gratitude for this opportunity to learn this lesson. And I was like, was I like, I'm so grateful that they're cutting into my jugular and I have to have a temporary pacemaker and I could die. No, I wasn't like, yay me. I maybe I'll die. But I was open to the idea that there could be some great. Transformation some great understanding some great lessons from this thing. And then I expressed gratitude for it. And what I got in my life was more things to be grateful for. And. The more gratitude I express, the more I have to be grateful for, the more gratitude I express, the more I have to be grateful for. And it works. It actually works that way. And the law of attraction is one of those things that when you practice a great place to start, um, with practices is to practice being specifically grateful. Like I'm so grateful that I've had the opportunity to have this experience. and, um, you know, when I was laying on the operating team, I'm, I'm so grateful that I have the opportunity to learn whatever lesson I'm going to learn from here to make whatever connections I'm going to connect. I'm going to make from here. And to be able to be this new person, this new, higher vibrational, connected being, and I'm open to anything you wanna show me, direct me towards and, That opened the doors for me in a lot of ways to a lot of things. And so. And I just started noticing because I express gratitude for like essentially opportunities. I started noticing opportunities were popping up everywhere in all sorts of different ways, with all sorts of different things, right. This is what the law of attraction does. And this is what. Expressing gratitude, shifting into the space of like, what do I want to feel? I wanna feel joy. So then I start to go. All right. So I wanna imagine that I have a highlighter and that every time I experience what I decide is joy. There is no external definition. It's my experience. And I mean that for each of you, it's your individual experience. What does joy feel like? And I'm not asking you to write a definition. I just want you to be able to like tune into it and go is that joy? Oh, I kind of feel, I like laughed. Is that joy? Uh, I kind of, I feel, I think I feel a little bit happy is that joy, because joy bubbled up at all different ways. Right? Joy can be something as simple as like hearing your kids laugh and you're like, oh, that feeling, that's it. That's what joy feels like. Joy can be something as simple as, snuggling with your kid in the morning and just feeling a sense of peace. And you're like, oh, I think that peace actually is joy. Right? You get to decide, you decide what it is. What does it feel like? What is the experience like? And then just start looking for it. Start noticing opportunities. For you to embrace and step into the joy instead of stepping into the fear, insecurity, doubt, struggle, conflict, whatever, right? That's the work, that's the work. And if you don't believe me, a parent, a 13 year old daughter, and she said recently, To one of her friends. Oh, my mom's had COVID. This was a little while ago, a month and a half or so ago. My mom's had COVID and so I haven't been able to hug her. I hugged her yesterday for the first time in like 10 days. And her friend said to her, you hug your mother. And she was like, eh, yeah, of course I hug my mother and a crazy talk design. Not only does she hug her mother. She snuggles with her mother on the couch and her mother wakes her up every morning. Well, during the school year by crawling into bed with her, and snuggling with her as a means of waking up, because that's what works for her. Now I could be like, I got so much shit to do. I gotta take, jump on this call. I gotta take care of this thing. I gotta get. This and that taken care of when I get downstairs and get my coffee, I haven't meditated yet. I, whatever I could go through all of those things and live in that frantic state, or I could just settle into the piece and, you know, maybe some mornings I lay with her for 20 minutes, maybe some mornings it's five minutes, you know, maybe it's, it's not as long as I would like, but it's, it's the opportunity. And it's the, it's the finding the pieces of joy. So that's the work. So if life attracts, like what do you wanna be attracting into your life? What do you want more of? What do you wanna expand? Enrich, multiply. Where do you wanna live in abundance? This is not just about money. It's about time. It's about love. It's about connection. It's about fulfillment. All of the things that we say that we want in our lives. So what specifically do you want and how specifically can you start noticing where that already exists? Start highlighting that side of the coin and maybe it's something as simple as those moments of joy. Maybe it's something as simple. The first sip of your coffee in the morning and just being like, ah, the ability to just take that sip of coffee in peace, the ability to have, you know, 10 extra dollars at the end of the week with all of the things that you've budgeted out and all the things and groceries and gas and all the things you have to buy recognizing when you have that 10 extra dollars at the end of the week, that that is abundance and Express's gratitude for. You know, thank you. Thank you for this opportunity. Thank you for this extra. Thank you for this abundance. And then it will multiply. And when you keep multiplying, right, if$10 becomes a hundred, a hundred becomes a thousand, right? It just keeps going. A thousand becomes 10,000. It just keeps expanding. And all of a sudden, inside of a week or two weeks, you could have hundreds of thousands of dollars coming your way. But the issue is not blocking it. Right. And so we'll talk more about that. Um, and if this is, if you're like I'm in, I wanna learn how to do this. Awesome. And it is a step by step process, like a roadmap, really to get from where you are now, the thinking, the experience, the inner world to where you desire to be in 30 days. And it covers all areas of abundance, law of attraction, abundance, and manifestation from, uh, manifesting money to manifesting soulmates. Um, and I say soulmates, and that could be like a soulmate partner. It could be like your soulmate clients. It could also be like, it's how it's specifically how I manifested my, um, my current assistant. Who's amazing. And she makes my life better just by her existence in my life. And, it's also the same process that I used to manifest my marketing person. Same. She's amazing. She makes my life better just by her being in my life increases the quality of my life, tenfold for both of them. Right. And so it doesn't have to be like, I'm looking for the ideal partner. It could be like a new best friend. It could be like just a community of people. You get to manifest anything you want, you get to attract in anything that you want using the law of attraction. The law of attraction is just a foundation for this work. So that's why I wanted start with this. I will dive into more of this. We'll talk more about, um, all different types of manifestation and abundance and how to embrace it and draw it into your world. And I've got more episodes coming up on this very, very soon.
